BLACK BELT TEST RESULTSOn Sunday, May 17th, we held our semi-annual Black Belt test at our Tribeca location. 78 junior students tested from 1st Dan Black Belt to 3rd Dan Black Belt. 60 of our adult students tested from 1st Dan Black Belt to 3rd Dan Black Belt.Congratulations to Master Bill Ma who tested for his 7th Dan Black Belt, and to all our new and current black belts! On Friday, April 10th 2009, Great Grandmaster Suh Chong Kang, one of the pioneers of Taekwondo was inducted into the Taekwondo Hall of Fame in Teaneck, NJ.

70th Johns Hopkins University Color Belt Test
On Sunday, October 28th, over 40 students tested for their color belts at the Johns Hopkins University Taekwondo Club.

On Saturday, January 27th, Grandmaster Tae Sun Kang received the monumental title of
9th Dan Black Belt.
Congratulations, Sir!
Thank you to the over 150 students, family and friends of Grandmaster Kang who attended.
Special thanks to Michael and Victoria Imperioli for helping organize the event and for being such gracious hosts.
In commemoration of this special event, the staff, students and friends of Grandmaster Kang presented to
him a ROLEX PRESIDENTIAL EDITION watch in recognition of his momentous achievement.

On Sunday, October 22nd, we held our 52st Inter-school tournament at our Marine Park Location.
Approximately 150 students competed and over 400 spectators came to watch and cheer them on.

Johns Hopkins University Color Belt Test
On Sunday October 15th, the Johns Hopkins University Taekwondo Club held its 66th color belt test.

OPEN HOUSE
On Sunday, March 26th, the Tribeca location held our first open house. They were demonstrations by some of our adult and juinor students. They all did an excellent job!

On Sunday, March 12th, we held our 51st Inter-school tournament at our Marine Park Location.
This was our biggest Inter-school tournament to date.
Approximately 200 students competed and over 500 spectators came to watch and cheer them on.

On January 21st, 2006 a surprise birthday party was held for Grandmaster Kang in Chelsea, New York. Approximately 100 people were in attendance.
Thank you to all the instructors, black belts and advanced color belts who came to celebrate Grandmaster's birthday.
Special thanks to Michael and Victoria Imperioli for hosting the party at their theatre - Studio Dante (www.studiodante.com).
