We would like to thank you for visiting our web site, and give you some background about both our martial art and our school. Taekwondo (or Tae kwon do) is an exciting and highly dynamic martial art that was developed over 2,000 years ago in Korea.

T. KANG TAEKWONDO is an outstanding member of the community of existing martial arts schools in the New York City area. The T. KANG TAEKWONDO schools are the largest and oldest group of Taekwondo / tae kwon do schools in Brooklyn, NYC.

In 1969, the New York Taekwondo Academy was established in a modestly sized studio by Grandmaster Kang's father, Suh Chong Kang, himself a highly respected martial arts figure. Since then, Grandmaster Tae Sun Kang has developed these schools, and his unique method of instruction, to produce what we believe is one of the best Taekwondo school systems in the United States.

At T. KANG TAEKWONDO, we strongly believe in teaching by example. Fear and force are not the tools of a skilled instructor, and we pledge to our students that they will not find these crude teaching methods utilized here. Instead, our students enjoy friendly, professional instructors who lead them as they explore the martial art known as Taekwondo. We always stress to our students that they should never hesitate to ask questions of their instructors. One of the things we pride ourselves on, as instructors, is our ability to answer difficult questions posed by students. If we cannot immediately answer a question, we find someone who can!

We always love to meet the parents of our students as early as possible. We have found that even a minute or two in between classes is enough for us to introduce ourselves and answer any questions parents might have about their child's program.

T. KANG TAEKWONDO STAFF

We offer specialized adults, teens, childrens and little_dragons classes that range from traditional form, kicking and sparring classes to cardio workouts and body toning for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.

Easter Break camp sessions will run from Monday April 21st - Friday, April 25th.

Camp times will be from 9am - 5pm. Drop-off times will be at 8am.

Please inquire about discounts for early registration.

Camp activities will include martial arts classes, sports, video games, board games, park, movie and beach trips.

"I sent my son Jordan to the holiday week camp and he absolutely loved it. On a daily basis he can't get up for school but he was up at 7am waiting to go to the TKT camp. He had so much fun with Sahbumnim Pascal that he did not want to come home and he even stayed for extra classes. It gave Jordan an opportunity to spend time with the kids in his class that he trains with and allows him to interact with them on a friendly basis.
